Ingredients:
Coriander seeds: 1/2 cup
cumin seeds :1/2 cup
red chilies : 3
whole pepper:1 cup
curry leaves (cleaned and dried ): 1cup

Recipe:
- First dry roast the coriander for few minutes on medium until a nice aroma is obtained
- Add cumin ,pepper and curry leaves and let roast for a few more minutes
- finally add the red chilies ,roast for few seconds and turn off the heat.
- let everything cool and make a coarse powder.
- store in an airtight container
- Use according to your preference or 1 tsp for appx 3 cups of rasam.
Note :don't let this powder boil for too long as all the spices are already roasted ,add just before turning off the heat for maximum flavor.
Use dried curry leaves for a longer shelf life.if using fresh leaves use with in a few days.Here is a quick video tutorial:
